Dear Fellow RAQ2 owners,
(note: I sent this email yesterday morning and have yet to see it on the
list so I am resedning it. I do apologize if you get this email twice)
We invested in a RAQ2 with 256 ram several months ago. We are currently
using it for hosting of web pages only and have about 40 web pages on
it. CPU and Memory usage is extremely light.
I would like to start using the RAQ2 as our primary email server with
web-based email as well. Can anyone shed any light on how well the RAQ2
would hold up to this kind of load ? As I stated the web pages are
barly taxing the system at all...at this point. But as we start adding
more web pages, especially e-commerce, combined with about 900 email
customers I am starting to wonder if the RAQ2 can service this kind of a
continous load.
Also, if I do make the switch I would need to transfer all my email
customer over to the RAQ2 from our current BSDI Unix server. Anyone
have any idea if I can transfer the passwd file over and somehow have
the RAQ create the necessary directories for each customer ?
Any input or real-world examples would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerley,
