[cobalt-users] MX definition

OK Jeff I appreciate the simple definition.. and I found out today that the
host is taking care of that end..  I have had no MX records up until
today.. and all mail was coming and going.. the only thing was I can not
send mail from my PC thru the server with Eudora.. I have tried every
setting and read all the docs.. just won't happen.. I added a MX record today:
beautytech.com   mail is sent to the High priority mail server
beautytech.com  

but still no mail can be sent.. we added my ISP to the relay setting.. but
I'm not sure it is right.. he had no clue when I called him about what a
Cobalt box was :) so that went no where

before the box went live I could send and receive with the IP as my SMTP..
but now that won't work either..

On a happy note, last night a wonderful guy from Cobalt called me and got
my bugs all to go away.. I had trouble installing OS2 update (that'll
happen when you lose your connection in the middle of an install), the
restore user script (run before the OS2) had make a bigger mess and left me
with no users.. the catchall thing was still a problem, he fixed everything
for me.. explained while he worked and answered a bazzillion Q's.. you know
who you are out there.. thanks again..

I had the host change the pointers for 12 of my name-based domains today..
6 have propagated, been tested, forms work email works.. I'm a happy
camper.. I can deal with the SMTP thing later unless someone has a
no-brainer solution :) I just can;t put any more info in there lest I
explode :)
