Bob:
We also have our Qube hooked up to a DSL line. In our case we use our ISP's
DNS which includes both our domain name (ie. domain.com) as well as our
machine name (ie. ourqube.domain.com). We don't use the Qube's internal DNS.
Your ISP should be able to do the same. With that approach you should be
able to use the name your ISP assigned you with no problem.
Incidentally, it took a couple of days before the record in our ISP's DNS
"took" for all traffic. I guess it takes a while before all other DNSs
synchronize. Until then we had to address our Qube using its IP address.
