Well, I'd argue that you aren't agreeing to have people read your messages,
but that you are actually sending email directly to everyone on the list.

Its actually interesting the laws in Singapore may surprise you.  You can't
purchase chewing gum, for example.  The government censorship issues are
enough to make me extremely worried.  So I wouldn't be surprised if you are
able to snoop on email.  However, legality issues aside, I wouldn't feel
comfortable with helping implement such a solution for anyone--due to the
obvious implications.  I value other peoples privacy as well as my own.
