I just set up to test my just out of the box RaQ3i
(day 1) and I have made an error that seems to be beyond my understanding to
repair. I misspelled my domain name and after I noticed and corrected it I
am stuck with the original misspellng in the "Site Management" table and
link.
After exclaiming loudly with multiple impure words
about my typing abilities, I prowled around in the CGI scripts for a couple
hours and think I have determined that the data is being stored in
PostgreSQL. (It was an interesting tour though some decent Perl code, so
all was not a loss.)
Has anyone done this and know how I might be able
to fix it. I am not totally locked out. Thank goodness the site
managment code uses the command line to access the site, so I can add users
and the like, but it does not look good. Further, since it is my wife's
machine; I will never hear the end of it!
Also, I notice that the Vsite.pm has hooks for
allowing/disallowing php3, but they do not look like they have made it
into the site management section. Can anyone comment if
this reflects an impending release for php3 support? I saw some words
about mySQL and php3 in other questions, but I was unsure about the
installation.
I called up to get a recovery CD and was told.....
very soon .....so is there any recommendation for using a 4mm DAT for back
up/recovery? or an external SCSI drive? I know nothing (yet) about
backing up Linux boxes.
Is there anyone using SSH on a RaQ3i? I read
through the support stuff and due to the date I am not sure if the articles
apply to the Mips version only.
Thanks in advance,
Jack Lavender
