I just did as you said.. added below the link, did:
makemap hash /etc/virtusertable < /etc/virtusertable 

and sent test mails. yes the mail showed up where it was supposed to.
BUT I then sent a mail to an address I know there is no user or alias and
the mail bounced as user unknown

now what??
