Create a directory like this:

        mkdir /home/samba/netlogon

Copy the neccesary files to this dir:

        cp config.pol /home/samba/netlogon
        cp login.bat /home/samba/netlogon

Create the profile directory:

        mkdir /home/samba/profiles

In addition you'll need to setup a few shares in /etc/smb.conf:

        [netlogon]
        comment = Network Logon Service
        path = /home/samba/netlogon
        read only = No
        guest ok = Yes
        share modes = No

        [profiles]
        path = /home/samba/profiles
        read only = No
        guest ok = Yes
        browseable = No

And then just set some of the global parameters to allow domain logons
for Windows98 workstations:

        [global]
        logon script = logon.bat
        logon path = \\%N\profiles\%U
        domain logons = Yes
        default service = homes

In addition I'll recommend you to set these options:

        domain master = Yes
        wins support = Yes
        encrypt passwords = Yes
        update encrypted = Yes

If you choose to use encrypted passwords, then you'll need to add
users with the smbadduser command.
