Re: [cobalt-users] PHP and Msql

Totalise,

This is the exact error I got while trying to REPAIR PHP3, which
originally worked on my raq2.

I tried reinstalling over PHP3 and this is what caused me to get the
"cannot install //var... blah blah blah" error... and I get the same
errors from web browsers that you are getting. Your PHP3 is definitely
NOT working if you have those symptoms, as the ?PHP.INFO() test should
produce a nice pretty web page full of information about your machine.

I've been trying to fix it on and off for a few days, I believe the
problem is in the srm.conf and/or httpd.conf, but I'm not sure... I'm
hoping somewhere here will tell me the correct way to REMOVE php3 and
reinstall it. I know the command is "rpm -e packagename", but what is
the package name? Alternatively, what new settings should be in
srm.conf/httpd.conf to fix the php parsing; or just "how the heck do I
fix PHP3?"
