Sorry for appearing thick, but I too have looked at the archives for FTP and
accessing straight into the user web directory, but only found too that I
should look at the /etc/passwd file. Having little experience with linux
there seems a lot of important stuff in there that a clumsy fingered person
might alter by mistake (not that I don't backup everything before making
changes).
My question is where do you make the changes in the passwd file. For example
if I have:
info:x:162:100:ghgh:/home/sites/site10/users/info:/bin/badsh
