Hello. Recently I downloaded all the security patches from cobalt and
upgraded my cobalt 3. A few days later I have customers complaining that
they cannot change any of their passwords, such as a site admin goes in to
manage his account, goes to change one of his Email accounts, types in the
new password twice, clicks on the confirm button, and the next screen
says"Forbidden, You do not have permission to access the requested file on
this server".
Well, the next thing I did was pretty dumb. I used telnet to log into the
raq3 and become root user, went to the /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers, and
removed the security patches, I started with the last one I installed
first, then went in backwards order. Everything was okay, however when I
got to patch 1.4, (sh RaQ3-Security-1.4-1.4.uninst), I got the message that
said something to the effect of offline mode name=value????
After all this, I went through my web browser to manage the raq3 server,
went into maintence, then install software, I was able to install the 1.1
Security patch, but when I tried to install the 1.2 security patch, I get
the message at the bottom of the screen that says
"Test installation failed: sysklogd-1.3.33-9C1.i386.rpm"..
HAs anyone seen this problem before?? IS there a way to fix this??
ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED
