In my case, I am logging into the sites using FTP as the siteadmin, not user
"admin". I exceeded the 32 site limit for user admin months ago and the
solution you mentioned takes care of that problem, but my problem is
different. For example I have a site called site78 with a siteadmin called
a78001. FTPing into the /web directory of the virtual site for site78 as
user a78001 I used to be able to create, delete and rename directories. Now
I can't. I get a 550 error when I try. However, I can import files into
the /web directory. the /web directory is owned by httpd:site78 and the
files and directories within it are owned by a78001:site78. If I log in
through the shell (telnet or SSH) I can su to root and change the ownership
of the /web directory to a78001:site78. Then I can FTP in as a78001 and
create, delete and rename directories. My question is why did this problem
suddenly arise after 10 months of operation? Why is it happening, how can I
correct it and what else may be affected?
