[cobalt-users] Suddenly unable to create, delete and rename directories in /web using FTP

I just discovered that I cannot create, rename or delete directories in the
/web directory of a website on my RaQ2 while logged in as the siteadmin.
This has never been a problem so I'm trying to track down the cause.

Here is what I can do:
I can create, rename and delete directories in /web from the shell, just not
from FTP. I get
"550 Permission denied" error messages when trying these commands from FTP.
However, I can execute these same commands from /users/mysiteadmin. Also,
I can create a directory within /web/directoryX, delete it and rename it.

Here is a partial directory list of /home/sites/site3/web/

drwxr-xr-x 3 mysiteadmin site3 1024 Dec 27 13:25 quotes
drwxr-xr-x 4 mysiteadmin site3 1024 Feb 8 20:49 tree

Using FTP I can execute the above 3 commands in the directory "quotes", but
I can't open the directory "tree".

Anyone know what's going on? Is something corrupted? This has never been
problem and I've installed no .pkg files since FTP was last known to be
working properly (Feb. 2) and the only RPM I've installed was
ftp://ftp.cobaltnet.com/pub/contrib/binaries/joe-2.8-14.mips.rpm. It's not
related to that, is it?
