or you could use the CPAN module.

I haven't done it, but it would probably install painlessly with this 
command (run as root):

# perl -MCPAN -e 'shell'
cpan> install Bundle::LWP

It resolves the dependencies for you (by default), it builds, tests, 
and installs it.
