Hello,

Is it a good/bad idea to use a machine's default IP (in the LCD) as the same
IP for primary DNS when registering DNS services with InterNIC?

My NOC provider suggests that I not use the default (machine) IP for
anything public because of the possibility of downtime if they ever needed
to change the primary IP on the server.  But my question is.. if they change
the machine's IP, why wouldn't it be just as easy/possible for them to
change one of the additional IP's they assigned (purchased an extra 16 at
time of setup) if I used one of the add'l 16 IP's as the primary IP when
registering DNS services?  Hum..
