They give away the client and sell the server.  Well, sort of...

There is no RAQ2 server version of ARKEIA, so you need to purchase and run
the server from a ARKEIA-supported platform (there are several).  The
"shareware" server version of ARKEIA will work from most common Linux boxes
(not MIPS), but support a limited number of clients and cannot be automated
(i.e. backups must be run manually from the server).

Oh, and when I called them to ask about this, I discovered that their
licenses are sold in minimum multiples of 5 (i.e. not individually).  It was
going to cost over $1,000 to run scheduled backups of my Qube2 to a remote
server running ARKEIA.

I thought they were kidding.  They're not.  Oh well...
