Microsoft? Or Microsoft-Windows-based? Mailtraq (for which I happen to be western-hemisphere distributor <www.mailtraqna.com>) is a Windows-based email server which may be configured to send ETRN commands back to your RaQ/Qube.

doesn't require a full time connection to the
internet,

Mailtraq was designed to be used as a mailserver on a dialup connection. However, I point out yet again, that ETRN doesn't work well unless you've got static IP#.

mail can be redistributed to users of a lan from a single
burst of activity on the part of the lan administrator, etc.

Mailtraq can be set to dial up automatically, send ETRN, and get email, which it stores in it's own POP3 boxes available from anywhere on the Internet, and optionally, available via web-based email.

Ok, please tell us how to do it in an "ETRN for Dummies" format. Thanks!

Okay, since I'm working on a "Dummies" format title right now, anyway <smile>.

When I get to it; hopefully later this week.
