Hate to disappoint, but it was someone else who asked about some
features that I had _thought_ were supplied by ETRN, so I suggested it.
Which features, if I may ask? Most people expect to be able to use ETRN
with dynamic IP#. It's possible, but it's not easy.
We (AtoZnet) never tried to implement ETRN because we didn't have the
time to study it. Par for the course, I've heard more discussion about
ETRN in this group in the last few days than the rest of my life
combined- and it _is_ a requested feature, particularly if you want to
pick up some of the medium sized offices with distributed mail
systems...
I'll be supporting ETRN on my RaQ2 by the end of the week. Why? Because
my clients want it.
So _please_ keep us informed as to the progress of your
implementation... even if you decide to give up, hehe.
I got the necessary information from the Cobalt employee who actually put
/etc/sendmail.cf together; I can't see not implementing it at this point;
it looks like a piece of cake. Time will tell <smile>.
