How can third parties that aren't really interested in

their code available on Cobalt products?
When people like us, the users, compile a working open-source solution on
the RaQ or Qube, then prepare a package (or even an RPM) that'll work on
RaQs and Qubes, then and only then, will the solution be available.
There are exceptions, of course; the secure webserver comes to mind. But
very few.
And frankly, even if the program is open source, if I do the work, I have
no trouble selling it. The open source model requires only that I give
away the source code. Okay; the source code is already given away. No big
deal.
But if I make a pkg or an RPM, I can sell it.
