RE: [cobalt-users] slow telnet response...

When this happens to me, it's almost always because the host I'm telnetting
INTO is having trouble identifying the host I'm telnetting FROM - even on a
LAN.  The delay is a classic telltale symptom.  A quick check:  on the
system you're telnetting INTO, add an entry in the /etc/hosts file for the
host you're telnetting FROM.  If you can now get an instant login prompt,
there you go...
