Re: [cobalt-users] Raq3 user bug

Both of the problems described in this thread are bugs with the RaQ3,
RaQ3E-Update-2.0 prevents both of them. RaQ3E 2.0 has
passed SQA testing and should be available next week.
1. If the first user name you create starts with a number the wrong
data
type is cast in back end database. After that any users added to the
system will still exists (send receive email, ftp, etc) but will not
show
up in the User Interface
2. If a user creates a vacation auto responder with a ', it can cause
some or all users to disappear from the User Interface. The users still
exist however and can send/recieve email, ftp, etc.
If either of these problems are affecting your RaQ 3, please contact
support. The fix requires the use of a shell (telnet) and psql (the
PostgreSQL command line client) and if not done correctly can cause
more serious problems with the RaQ 3. If you need correct the problem
and you are comfortable at the shell prompt drop me an email
(jeffb@xxxxxxxxxx) and I will send you some UNSUPPORTED instructions.
*Note
RaQ3-Update-2.0 prevents these bugs from occurring, but does not fix
them if they already have occurred.
