You can get pseudo permanent errors if DNS is misconfigured. And you can get them if people run both primary and secondary name-service on the same system or even on the same network (I bet a lot of people on this list do that <wry grin>); I'd never remove someone for only a few permanent fatal errors. That's why I run a "bounces" list for all my lists. Either see one of the O'Reilly books for good information on how to use a bounces list, or use a list-hosting company (like ours <grin>) that supplies it automatically with all lists).
