Dan,

If the message bounces back "Permanent Fatal Error" it means the mail
account was closed. Very common. People change mail addresses all the
time...especially with free services such as Hotmail. Just delete the user
from your list.

You might also get some other "warning" messages... which may be more of a
temporary situation with machine simply down or unreachable. I'd keep those
on your list.
