A bug in glibc's (fixed in 2.1.2) fgetgrent function causes proftpd
to eat most systems resources if a group exists with more than 1024
chars, about 250 users.  I have posted an RPM to fix this problem and it
will be included in RaQ 3 Update 2.0, which will be available in the
near future.     

Please read the following before installing any RPMS from the ftp site:

I am working on getting pre10 put out, but I have gotten bug reports
about the version I posted and have seen discussion on the proftpd
mailing list about other problems which I haven't had time to
investigate.
