Aha, maybe i've forgot one more IMPORTANT thingie in my previous post,
related to software, sorry :)

Once you have correctly inserted the HW part of your new HDD, go to the
Web Admin console, choose Maintenance, click on the Storage button and
then on the button Add Storage. Then it will ask you which disk to add,
whether you want it checked (recommended), the volume name and that's it.
Next time it'll show up in your /vol directory.
