I run DNS on another Raq and the automatic reverse record generation is
turned off. But this is true for all my sites, not just those on this
server.

Regardless, how would that explain the fact that once they get in, they
cannot get to their files? log/users/web is not showing up anywhere when a
user FTP's to their site eventhough all the files are still in the right
place.
