I just did this thanks to some instruction from the list. (Sorry I can't
recall the name of the person who advised me on this.)
1. You must create the sites on the new machine so that the site# is the
same as on the old machine. e.g, /home/sites/site5 etc. That means check the
site# via FTP on your current RAQ and create them in that order on the new
RAQ.
2. Create the identical user names for the new sites on the new machine
3. Backup the files on the old machine
4. Use selective restore to the new machine
5. Select only the files you need, not the directories that already were
created by the new RAQ
This worked great for many sites on my RAQ. Just be sure to first create the
user names on the new RAQ, or you will have to Telnet in and delete those
user directories that are created by the restore or you won't be able to
create those user names as the RAQ will give a warning that the directory
already exists for that user.
