No drawback at all to running your own DNS. You should only run one
nameserver on a given network though. If you run your primary DNS and
Digital Nation runs your secondary DNS, then if for any reason connectivity
to Digital Nation should go down, anyone trying to reach you site will get
a permanent error, i.e., Unable to resolve name, instead of a temporary
error, i.e., unable to connect. Also, email to anyone at your domains will
be returned as a permanent error, instead of being held by the originating
server until the connectivity goes back up.
That's why we run multiple DNS servers on multiple networks. The chances
of two networks being down at the same time is real, but slight.
