I am curious about the setting in which this feature is used on the Qubes.
Why did you decide to choose a modem sharing technology over DSL, Cable,
Fractional T1, or more than likely ISDN based solutions?

Surely the minute additional cost of getting and ISDN line (which is
available almost everywhere) is worth it as far as performance and latency
issues, right?

I never really found a reason to recommend a modem as a solution.  What sort
of applications are you guys using it it?
