RE: [cobalt-users] Qube2 file sharing for Win 98

Hy,

Make a group of users named xyz (or whatever)  and just add all of your users to that group. Now all of them (users) have the desired rights on that folder that is created with the group and the folder is visible normally through network.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Qube2 file sharing for Win 98

I need to use the Qube2 as a file sharing server for Win 98 users, but I have come to learn each client can only read files from another user (which if I remember correctly is derived from a UNIX protocol, but anyways) I need simple ideas as to how I can create a universal folder that can be shared by all clients and given full access (i.e. so any Win 98 user can save or modify a file to one universal folder on the Qube2).

InfoBase is too laborious and is not intuitive enough, therefore not an option.

FTP is out of the question.

I need to have a simple shared folder just like you would share any folder across a Win 98 network (TCP/IP)

Please keep the technicalese to a minimum, as I am a virgin to LINUX.

Thank you in advance,
