If we are talking about cost of ownership, lets talk the costs of migrating
BACK to Apache if the closed-source, proprietary web server with MINUTE
market share from a tiny company in the UK stops being supported.

I'm sorry, but if it isn't open source, it isn't considered an option for
reliability and longevity.

Anyone who uses the Internet and Internet software for mission critical
items really needs to read some of Eric S. Raymond's essays/white papers.
Like the Cathedral and the Bazaar.  Actually if you want it in all in one
place, pick up a copy of his book from O'Reily--has Cathedral and the
Bazaar, Magic Cauldron, Homesteading the Noosphere--all really good essays
on open source and what it means to system administrators.
