[cobalt-users] Majordomo revisited <frown>

Yesterday I called Cobalt for support and spoke to Jeff Kamradt. I
explained my problem (couldn't do an unsubscribe through email) and Jeff
told me someone would call me back the same day.
No one did, so I called back today and asked for Jeff.
I explained I either had to get majordomo working on the RAQ2 today, or I
couldn't use the RAQ2. Jeff said someone would call me back within an hour.
No one did.
So I called and spoke to Jeff again (this time he answered the phone himself).
He didn't know why I hadn't been called back, so he put me on hold and went
to check.
He got back to me in about a minute and a half, to let me know that
Majordomo on the RAQ2 only works for lists from the web-based
interface. Majordomo, if I wanted to use it to subscribe and unsubscribe
via email is, in his words "broken".
On the plus side, he did say that Cobalt might be interested in buying my
knowledge in fixing it <smile>. However, he probably has no power to deal
as Cobalt with me <smile, again>.
I'm looking over the code Kevin <owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> sent to the list; all
the majordomo documentation (not supplied with the RAQ as far as I can
tell), and all the notes I've made in my years of majordomo experience.
So I WILL make Majordomo work with lists set up outside of the
Interface. And I WILL report back to the list.
Hopefully today, since that's my deadline for either using the RAQ or
giving it up.
