[cobalt-users] Cnames leave me at sea

Ahoy

Years ago, a Broadway director, commenting on method acting, once remarked:
"The problem with the method is the 'THE'."

This also applies to Cnames on the RaQ. For instance, I have two domains
here, let's say www.mouse.com and www.duck.org. In one case, I was able to
make mickey.mouse.com resolve at www.mouse.com simply by creating a user and
an A record. However, the exact same method failed to make donald.duck.org
resolve at www.duck.org. There, after trying every possible permutation, I
finally just slapped an .htaccess redirect in donald.duck's web directory.

That's why one person says it works if you do it THE way I did and the next
says no you have to do it THE way Cobalt says and the third says .....

Because it's frikkin buggy, is why.
