Hello all,
I am new to X windows, so I'm looking for a bit of advice.
We have a RaQ2 hosting clients websites located remotely. We also have a LAN
system with mostly win98 clients and a linux (intell) server. The new linux
box is a replacement from an older freebsd box, which wasn't capable of
effectively running x windows. The linux box is quite slick though and
cranks as a server for our lan and my new best friend running Gnome
Workstation.
I would like to know if there is a good (which is best.. opinions wanted
here.. I'll probably test a few ..) client for X windows which I can use to
remotely administer the RaQ2. (I'm not a big browser GUI fan.. we have way
too much custom design to use the Cobalt GUI anymore.. mysql.. special
directories.. customized apache.. custom conf directories, scripts and
more..)
I am also new to SAMBA.. is there a way to use this with the RaQ? Remotely?
Anyway.. I will be reading the FM so keep your flames to a minimum please..
I'm just looking for some honest opinions..
THANKS!
