If you read what happened to my server two weeks ago, you might reconsider.
Someone sent hundreds of thousands of emails using another server, but my
domain name in their return address. The result was that I got bounced
emails from server postmasters and daemons at the rate of 3,000 an hour at
one point and they kept coming in for 11 days. All from what appeared to be
one incident. And since most people assumed it was from me I received many
hateful emails from recipients of the email and my company's image was
tarnished.

Never mind that spam email slows down the entire internet and if there is an
open relay on the same network as you (if you're colocated for example) or
one connected to the same upstream provider, you could be affected.
