[cobalt-users] Real server and RAQ3
I was looking for information about how to offer streaming video and
audio, and I came up with the following information that mat be helpful
to some people:
In order to offer streaming services using Real Audio, you need 2
components. Real Producer and Real Server.
Real Producer is available as a freebie, but there is an enhanced
version with better compression for $149.00 that is recommended. That
price is reasonable to me. The ordering and download info is at:

The server software is Real Server, and is sold by the number of
simultaneous streams. There is a free version of it that supports up to
25 live streams, and that's enough for many sites. The 60 stream version
is about $2K, and it goes up from there. The link to that page is:

I need to server to support this, and I am considering a RAQ3 or maybe
another technology.
