Upload speed vs Download speed. They are not always the same. If you get
a 1.5 megabit per second T1 line, you usually get 1.5 megabits upload speed
and 1.5 megabits download speed.
If you get a 1.5 megabits ADSL line, you usually get 1.5 megabits download
speed and 256k upload speed. This means that anyone browsing sites on your
raq will be coming in at 256k. But if you downloaded a file from the
internet onto your raq... it would go at 1.5 megabits/s.
Ask your DSL service provider if you get the same speed in both directions.
I'll bet, if you have ADSL, they say no. That's why ADSL is cheap (also
why it is marketted mostly towards residential areas... they don't do much
uploading anyways).
