RE: [cobalt-users] Urgent!!! - RaQ2 Web Server Down

If you have to transfer it to another raq2 you simply could backup it and
restore it on the other one...
Or do it on the worst-case way (see down)
Have you done httpd -t?

Greetings

Steven

Worst-case-way:
1. create on new raq the virtual-host.
2. Create the users too (the password you can move by copying the entry from
one shadow-file to the new one (only the crypted password!!!).
3. Then look if there were any auto-responders or e-mail forwardings....
4. Tar the files from the old raq and copy it to the new raq and untar
them...
5. Chown the files to the right owner..
6. Change the dns-settings to the new one (if you have)
7. Finish :-)

I could fire up an identical spare that we have on
hand but don't know how to transfer the files
from one machine to the other through the local
network. Also, how complicated would it be to do
this and would I be able to just use the
httpd.conf file and copy the web sites over?
