[cobalt-security] Telnet stopped working

Hi All,

We've had a RaQ3 for about a month now...and I'm very impressed.  But a 
strange thing has happened and I wanted to see if any of you have 
encountered the problem.
Telnet has been working fine, until a couple of days ago.  I can no longer 
login as "admin" or as myself.  Here's a typical session:


Cobalt Linux release 5.0 (Pacifica)
Kernel 2.2.12C3 on an i586
login: admin
Password:
Login incorrect
login:

Telnet is still enabled, and I can still access the site via the web 
interface, and/or ftp as "admin", so I know that the password is still 
ok.  Any Ideas on what has happened and what the fix is?  This one is 
stumping both my partner and I (We've been doing Unix for a LONG time).
