Hey all-
In the last week, my stock RAQ4 has developed an odd problem: it
seems to corrupt the contents of /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl fairly
often. Perl scripts, including the admin GUI, die, but a quick
replacement of the /usr/lib/perl5 directory from a working Raq4
fixes the problem.
Coincident with this is link corruption: perfectly simply links like
/home/sites/home/../../spool/mail/mrmike becomes
/home/sites/home/../../sp/oo/l/mail/mrmike. Slashing up or
misspelling spool seems to be the most common error. Occasionally,
some directories will vanish, with directory perms changed from
drwxr-xr-x to ?wrxr-xr-x, making the directory unreadable.
This machine runs simple web sites and handles mail. The only perl
scripts running (that are not part of the server management) is
openwinmail. No changes were made to the system in the days
proceeding the start of the problems.
Has anyone seen his behavior before? Any suggestions on what I
should do or look for?
Thanks for the help.
Mike
