Hi there,
You can upgrade PHP to 4.3.3 by gettting the tarball from php.net. Following
the directions in README and INSTALL are quite sufficient. You may want to
include IMAP and OpenSSL in your php distribution. They are available at
their respective websites. Also, you may want to look into upgrading your
MySQL at the same time. The version I was able to install is 4.1.0 available
from mysql.com.
You can get phpMyAdmin from here:
http://www.edison.ca/cobalt/RaQ550-phpMyAdmin-2.3.2-r2-20021114.pkg
I used the Cobalt gui to install it and it, too is fairly easy to get going.
If you decide to go this route and run into problems, feel free to contact
me directly at devriest@xxxxxxxxx and I'll try to run you through it. I've
also kept notes as to how I did it and if you need, I'll send them to you.
Regards,
Tim
