RE: [cobalt-developers] Installing Tomcat in a RaQ4

You can install Tomcat by using the Java package supplied by Cobalt through
the developer portal. You need to register to access the package. This
package installs Java SDK 1.3.1 and Tomcat 3.2.1. It also installs a JDBC
driver for the Interbase database. Personally I think that the Interclient
setup is a bit messy and slow but I could be completely wrong. I use MySQL
which you can get as a Package from www.pkgmaster.com. This install also
sets up the Cobalt management GUI to automatically setup the Tomcat contexts
for use with Apache so you don't have to mess around yourself with the
setup. Everytime you create a new Virtual Domain, the GUI adds it as a
context and creates the WEB-INF directory automatically.

Subject: [cobalt-developers] Installing Tomcat in a RaQ4

We need to install Tomcat, the question is if this won't harm the GUI
interface or Cobalt standards to manage the sites?
Thanks
