Re: [cobalt-developers] Bits flying over fences ...

I thought I would let things settle down a little
before answering the questions that had appeared.

    First, the known missing bits:
There are RPMs that are not included because we
didn't develop them. These are available in the
normal download locations mentioned in the README.

This is slightly inconvenient for consumers of
the open source tarball, but doing things this
way enabled us to avoid several legal hurdles in
Sun's open source process. I won't get into the
details, but given resources this was definitely
	optimal.

    Any unknown missing bits

There have been a couple of questions about some
Sun Cobalt RPMs that appear to be missing. If
these are in fact necessary and missing, it means
that I know who will buy the next round of beer.

I've forwarded the questions to the beer buyer
to be, and we will figure it out. If any other
items seem to be missing, I'll see any notes to
	the developer list.

    RaQ versions
The core code for the Cobalt products is shared,
so many RaQ parts are merely build flags away.
Unfortunately, the RaQ specific functionality was
not part of this open source effort, so some of
	the RaQ interface is missing.

We will consider options with the RaQ interfaces.

    I hope this helps,
