RE: [cobalt-developers] Appending an incremental number to e-mail subject lines?

if your downloading them to a windows machine im sure you could hack
together some outlook vba to organise this.

Infact would be easy using outlook and access to accept the mail and filter
it off into an access database, you could then create a simple form to view
all jobs etc, could even relate customers by from address to a customers
table etc.

skys the limit but depends on a windows box.

Subject: [cobalt-developers] Appending an incremental number to e-mail
subject lines?

Is there some sort of script I can run for a user that will uniquely number
each email received?

We handle on average 50-80 e-mails (with attachments) per day, and each one
is from a customer that is looking to have work done on the file, so they
need to be organized and easy to find.

Normally we use date/time sent or received to differ them apart, but just
recently with daylight savings and all, it created a few mixups, and we have
always wished that we could just have a number in the subject line to each
email, so its really easy to find.

Any Ideas??

Dave
