Port 444 is the admin port, and the login is so that users & admins share
the same login to manage themselves, and also to configure the box (for
admins).

What you want to do is to do URL rewrites for web. I would look at
http://httpd.apache.org for MOD_REWRITE. As far as for FTP. Well, the
Cobalt
runs ProFTPD. Nice FTP software. It sets it up, so that if you create a
user
(not admin) under www.xyz.com, they only have access to their folder.
NOTHING
else. If you create a siteadmin, then he has access to all of the user's
folders, and the site's web files. NOTHING else. It sets up a CHROOT Jail.

Sorry to inform you, but .... www.sourceforge.net is the biggest right now,
they have multiple DS3s probably (I do NOT know their network), but I can
tell
you for the hours that I have spent looking over their software ... they are
the
biggest. But good luck on your venture.

What I would recommend, since you are obviously a beginner, is to Join the
Cobalt's
User forum, instead of the Developer one.

And check out their Knowledge base too

Best of luck to you David
