Check out the conf files for logrotate in /etc/logrotate.d. I'd say your data
is gone,
it has happend to me many times. The config files don't always work as the
instructions
must be in a certain order I have not been able to find in the
documenatatoin.
Also they have been 'reset' when loading patches.....
Now I have my own cron/perl script to handle the logfiles.
