Well, I have used that tar command in my script for almost 2 years now and it
worked fine until a few months ago. It also works fine on the other 4 raq4 servers
we have.
And as I said I have tried and bzip2 and cpio as well (and gtar), all with the same
result.
So I think it is a more complicated problem than simple command syntax.
