You should be able to uninstall it via BlueLinQ.  I'm sure I tried it and
then simply removed it when I decided that it was all too hard (i.e.
essentially unsupported).  It probably works, but you need to know exactly
what you want rules you want to implement and then I had an issue with the
fact that the management interface doesn't work with Mac Browsers.

I bought a book on Linux Firewalls ... great theory ... all too heavy.

I decided that the easiest way to go was to install a "cheap" firewall
device in front of my Qube3 and use NAT and port forwarding on the device.
This way you don't hinder access from the inside to the outside, but you
block all inbound except what is implicitly mapped.
