I was trying to install javamail on my Raq4 by editing the CLASSPATH
variables in the java.sh file. Unfortunately this messed with the Java
Development kit package I installed. As a result I am unable to compile from
the WEB-INF/classes folder using javac. when I type in the full javac
directory location, I continually get javax.servlet not found. Did I say it
was working great before editing java.sh
So I figure the best solution is to reinstall the java package. The problem
is that it will not let me reinstall using the web control panel. So I
followed the great advise from posting
http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-developers/2001-November/034395.html
.
But with little success. My question is do I have to delete all the
java/jakarta-tomcat directories before manually installing them again? If
anyone has dealt with this problem, I would appreciate any help you can
give.
Thanks in advance!
William
