[cobalt-developers] Adding a swatch (activemonitor) item on Qube3 (Use CCE client?)

I am having some issues in how to go about adding an item to the
ActiveMonitor on a qube3; as best as I can tell, this is done through the
cceclient, ie /usr/sausolito/bin/cceclient; the names for ActiveMonitor
currently are:
105 NAMESPACE Email
105 NAMESPACE AppleShare
105 NAMESPACE DNS
105 NAMESPACE Telnet
105 NAMESPACE SNMP
105 NAMESPACE Memory
105 NAMESPACE IMAP
105 NAMESPACE FTP
105 NAMESPACE Disk
105 NAMESPACE Apache
105 NAMESPACE CPU
105 NAMESPACE POP3
105 NAMESPACE SMTP
105 NAMESPACE Network
105 NAMESPACE Admserv
105 NAMESPACE DHCP
105 NAMESPACE WinShare
I want to add another check - but how do I add a new NAMESPACE? The "CREATE"
command is for a new Class, not Namespace, and the other simlar command, SET
simply sets an already existing value. ("set 11.New" produces "303 UNKNOWN
NAMESPACE URL\n401 FAIL")
Can you tell me how, I would, for example, add a CCE ActiveMonitor entry
with these values:
class name=ActiveMonitor
namespace=NewNameSpace
enabled=1
monitor=1
type=exec
typedata=/usr/bin/MyNewCheck
currentState=G
currentMessage=''
lastChange=''
lastRun=''
nameTag=''
URL=/mywebdir/mywebpage.php
I imagine that currentMessage, lastChange, lastRun etc can be blank
initially?
Does nameTag have to refer to something in the CCE elsewhere?
Can it not be something such as "Some sort of check" - is it infact a link
to another set of data, for example?
If you could reply before the week's end, that would be fantastic.
Thanks,
Sigurd Magnusson
