Hello, our raq 3 seems dead
Can't access any domains, can't email, can't ftp, can't telnet
Nothing
Try to reboot, 'kernal loading' error and it hangs on it. Nothing else
happens
Raq 3, I am not in access to it, but I know who would be and I am asking on
their behalf
How would one recover this OS? I mean what to PHYSICALLY do?
We don't have a cd slot I don't recall so ordering the os cd would that do
anything?
We can't connect to the server admin panel or telnet of course
so what would we do?
The owner of this server actually told me to download the 100+ megabyte OS
recovery file on my *PC*
thinking this would help somehow
I am trying to explain I don't see how that is the case
It is in los angeles I am in ny
How do we restore this raq 3?
Somebody on cobalt support board (the sun board for tech support, that is)
mentioned to somebody a CMOS I believe, but I don't know what that is. What
to do is going to help, not the concept, but what we physically do, lol. Any
ideas?
Thanks
Joel
